memories

Last weekend a few of us met up in Galloway. We took a trip up to Girvan on Sunday. It was strange to remember all the times we must have been there with you. Looking at the boating pond reminded me of the times we went round and round. It looks nice now and well kept. I remembered the time when Paula was a baby and we stayed at Laggan near Ballantrae. We had some laughs that time too. That rickety old caravan you managed to get in Girvan at the last minute was a scream. As kids we went there with Teddy too and our old retriever, Lassie. We all went in swimming in the sea then. Lassie was like a seal when she was wet and scared the wits out of Dad when she swam up behind him. Happy times. I miss you so much but try not to think about it. Love you forever. xxxxx

anniversary

I was awake thinking through it all again last night. Don't know what else to say except that I hope I did my best when you needed me.
The snow started to fall while we were with you last year at that time. Rick said that his Granny always said if someone passes while the snow is falling it's a peaceful passing. Your foxy friends were outside making footprints in the snow and we talked to you about them.
I'm glad your passing was so peaceful and painless but I would give anything just to hold you again for a few minutes and tell you just how much I love you. You were the biggest influence ever on my life and I will always be grateful for the love and help you gave to me... watch over Jamie for me, he misses you but doesn't say much. Rick misses you as much as I do, your were his Scottish Mammy and he loves you like his own. xxxxx
